I have an affinity for places, buildings and automobiles that have long passed their useful prime. Most are seen as eyesores to people that pass them by. I see one last spark of beauty which I love to try and capture.
I'm always watching out for old cars. Some rusting in rural fields, some stacked up in wrecking yards. Anything pre 1970's will usually get my attention, sometimes for hours.
While researching this odd random location after watching a Val Kilmer movie of the same way and wanting to find "those trees" I was immediately drawn to this place and have since returned a few times. The sad desolation intrigues me.
