I have a truck load of history and a books worth of stories.
After Leaving Canadian Major label Pop/Rock Band "Zuckerbaby" and Calgary in April 2000 and re-locating back to
Vancouver British Columbia I took a little time off from the music industry completely to deal with some personal shit that I didn't know how to file after the death of my mother.
After a short break I got back into the swing of things with a band called Faces of Eve. From there I joined GG Dartray which morphed into UCHU. We
recorded a full length indie CD and released it in 2005, the band implosion followed shortly afterward. Next I worked with singer/songstress Heidi
Vincent on her full length CD titled "Happy Now?" released in 2006. After a busy year working in web design, back and forth to Las Vegas I joined up
with Brad Pedwell and learned all his recorded material for live shows. We then recorded tracks for four new songs in Vancouver's Mushroom Studios under
the production guidance of Warne Livesy, (Matt Good Band, Midnight Oil etc). That rounded out 2008. Since then I've been traveling and concentrating on my photography and well, looking for work.
Now, as of December 2011 I'm back in Calgary for a new day job (that I like).
What I'm looking for now is a local working cover band (I played covers for years before Zuckerbaby) or a well established act that has all their ducks in a row. IE: management, label and/or distribution. At this
time I'm not interested in joining an original band fulltime unless it's very well established and everyone
involved would be making a living playing music. I've done the starving rockstar thing and as much as I do love the road, I have to be making a living to be on it.
Feel free to correspond about any endeveours you
might have keeping in mind my current criteria.
Although I'm quite versatile and comfortable in any genre and am quite capable of fitting into most
situations my roots and influences lay in the Heavier Pop/Alternative/Hard Rock area. Stylistically I fall in the category of
hard edged rock and pop/rock that requires solid groove and feel. Influences include such
drummers as John Bohnam, Stewart Copeland, Cozy Powell, Dave Grohl, Phil Rudd and Phil Selway. I have however
on occasion branded some brushes and played some lighter folk or alt pop.
Let me know what you've got and what you're looking for, we won't know for sure until we talk.
All I can say is
lets talk and we'll take it from there.
